The focus of this project was once again on the use of bio-based and recycled materials as well as reversible connection technologies.
Fundermax provided its wood-based material “Biofaser” as the raw material. The fiberboard is produced using a special manufacturing process that does not require any petrochemical binders. Salamander recycles leather scraps and uses a special process to produce high-quality surface materials that can be used in a variety of ways in combination with a base material. The Keilverbinder connector also provided a concealed, detachable furniture fitting that offers a wide range of efficient applications and ensures that materials can be joined and separated according to type. Other cooperation partners were the office furniture manufacturer König+Neurath and the highly specialized carpentry company Ackermann GmbH.
