HEMP FIBERS / BIO-RESIN - Material als Design Impuls

The starting materials for this project were hemp mats and fibers impregnated with bio-resin, which resulted from a special research collaboration between the Dutch companies Vepa and Plantics and were made available to the students for their material experiments. The bio-based mats and fibers are fully recyclable and in accordance with the ecological cycle principle. The design process thus focused on addressing the challenges of consistently sustainable design and the development of products that can be separated by type and completely recycled.
